APPLE- PEAR - pie

APPLE-PEAR PIE

This apple-pear pie is a classic, from my grandmas old dusty recipe notebook, winter is the best season to experiment with cinnamon and apple, what makes it different from the classic apple pie is the savory taste the pear gives. Sometimes i bake it in autumn or spring just to get that Christmas feeling at my home, the smell of cinnamon yummmm....!!


Ingredients

  • 3-4 golden delicious ( type of apple ) 
  • 1 large riper pear 
  • 3 hole eggs 
  • 150 gr of curd - ( totally optional you can skip it )
  • 1 cup of sugar - 200 gr ( or preference )
  • 1 cup of flour - 140 gr
  • 1 baking powder - 14 gr
  • 1 vanilla - 9 gr
  • Pie mixture ( I got a pie mix which already included, ground cinnamon, lemon, ground cardamon, nutmeg and so on ) 



Instructions :

Start buy heating up your oven to 180C

1. Cut the apples and per is medium size squares
add the spice mixture into the apples, mix and set a side file preparing the texture mixture.

2. Add 1 cup of sugar or to preference of sweetness, add 3 eggs and whisk it until the sugar is starting to melt

3. Add the curd into the mixture, this part is totally optional, since we really like the taste of curd we add it, and whisk until all well combined 

4. After get a sieve add your flour in small amounts, to get the best texture as well as, while adding the flour add, the baking powder and vanilla as well 


5.  Get you spring form cake tin oiled inside and on the corners so later it would come out easier, add yours apples, and the mixture, cook until golden brown top, and turn your oven off and don't open it for 5min, so the puff would not go down!
