Lithuanian bread with cheese “sauce”


All time Lithuanian and foreigner favorite snack!!!
 The most ordered snack in bars ( because it tastes amazing with beer ) and the easiest snack to make at home, it will just take you 10 – 15 minutes and you can enjoy Lithuanian best know snack!
 I doubt that you would ever find a person that would not like LITHUANIAN FRIED BREAD or more simply “ Kepta duona”
 So until you did not start to drool – LET’S GET STARTED!!!  

       Ingredients :
·         ½ (  the more the merrier! ) loaf of black bread
·         3 – 4 pieces of garlic
·         3 spoons of mayo
·         ½ pack of fresh grated “Dziugas” cheese ( 50g.)
·         a pitch of salt
·         oil


Making process : 

1.Cut bread in pieces ( your choice what kind of pieces you want to make)







2. Put oil inside of the pan ( don’t be shy , this bread will need quite a lot of oil)
Pan has to be hot , but keep it on low fire , because we do not want this tasty bread to be burned!
When you will see it becoming crispy take it out of the pan.



  3. After you bread is crispy and cooked , put it on paper towel or baking paper , so that the bread would not be so oily.










4. Now put a pitch of salt on your bread ( do not put tooooo much ) and then take a piece of garlic and two sides of your bread and start rubbing in garlic ( rub in as much as you want !! you can taste it if it is not to much just make sure you do not eat everything! )



    5.    Time to make worlds easiest sauce !
In one bowl put mayo mix it with a pitch of salt and grate half of the garlic piece
In a second bowl just put half of “Dziugas” cheese.





6.      And the last step take a piece of bread , until half put it in a mayo sauce ( do not put too much)
And after that put  the same  end of bread to the bowl of cheese heaven !!!

                NOW JUST ENJOY THIS AMAZING DELICIOUS SNACK !!!!

still best taste can be got with a cold cold beer ;)
